I. Ultrasonic Welding Principle
Ultrasonic welding is a new high-tech welding process that utilizes the heat generated by tens of thousands of vibrations and friction per second from ultrasonic waves, combined with external pressure, to instantly fuse the contact surfaces of workpieces together. No adhesives are required between the contact surfaces, and the strength after welding exceeds that of the original material. Most workpieces can be welded within one second. With advantages such as speed, cleanliness, convenience, and material savings, ultrasonic welding is gradually replacing older processes like screw fastening and adhesive bonding. It is an advanced assembly technology. Currently, almost all thermoplastic products on the market can utilize ultrasonic welding. Ultrasonic welding not only serves as a connection and assembly method but also provides moisture-proof, watertight, and airtight effects.
II. Ultrasonic Mechanism Principle
Converting 220V, 50Hz into high-voltage electrical energy at 15KHz (or 20KHz), mechanical energy is transformed via a transducer. This mechanical vibration is transmitted through an amplifier and a welding head to the workpiece, utilizing air pressure to create a friction effect on the working surface. The transducer and amplifier are housed in a vibration cylinder, with an external welding head connected. Using a pneumatic system and control circuit, the setup operates under pre-set conditions to complete the process.
